Why Being with Others Matters

You get the worst prognosis imaginable and the walls start to close in. Your first thought is what do I do? How can I go through this alone? What is the next step?

Your mind races as you face the idea of telling your loved ones the news and you fear their reactions. These are all similar experiences that many share yet don't realize that fact. Undergoing Cancer treatment is an experience that is not only difficult for the patient but also difficult for the family members.

Being able to speak with others going through similar experiences either as a patient or a family member is for many a lifeline. The Barbara Sosman Center hopes to have that space where those lifelines can be nurtured.

Our Future is bright and we hope you all join us as our journey begins...... in creating a non clinical sanctuary for all those affected by Cancer.
